  • In this project I worked on creating a Wolter optic for neutron imaging purposes. This involved creating a new wolter optic, within the framework of Conics, originating from MIT, to allow also te concical approximation to be used. As an aside I also ended up updating the ROOT-plotting interface of McStas

  • The first longer term project undertaken, focused on developing and adapting OpenMC and the tool CAD_to_OpenMC to the needs of newcleo. So far the main outcomes are: Implementing hexagonal mesh-tallies in OpenMC. This has now become a PR at the OpenMC-development site on github. PR 3279 Minor adjustments to CAD_to_OpenMC, such that it produces the necessary results. Development may be followed here https:/github.com/united-neux/CAD_to_OpenMC. As a side-effect this work has led to the finalization of an article on CAD_to_OpenMC, currently in the final stages of review CAD_to_OpenMC review

  • This was a project in collaboration with the british start-up HALO X-ray who build security scanner equipment. I developed modules to allow the Union [] system within McXtrace (https://www.mcxtrace.org) to include Compton scattering as well as Powder-scattering.
