The first longer term project undertaken, focused on developing and adapting OpenMC and the tool CAD_to_OpenMC to the needs of newcleo. So far the main outcomes are:
- Implementing hexagonal mesh-tallies in OpenMC. This has now become a PR at the OpenMC-development site on github. PR 3279
- Minor adjustments to CAD_to_OpenMC, such that it produces the necessary results. Development may be followed here https:/github.com/united-neux/CAD_to_OpenMC. As a side-effect this work has led to the finalization of an article on CAD_to_OpenMC, currently in the final stages of review CAD_to_OpenMC review
